Another day, another EPT final table. Once again, the last eight players are a cosmopolitan bunch, with representatives from England, USA, Holland, Germany, Russia, Hungary and Switzerland making it to the televised finale.

Another day, another EPT final table. Once again, the last eight players are a cosmopolitan bunch, with representatives from England, USA, Holland, Germany, Russia, Hungary and Switzerland making it to the televised finale.
Chip leader going into the final table is the Russian Vladimir Poleshchuk with 627,000, and the overnight leader Anton Alleman took his morning advantage and successfully converted it into a place amongst the final eight, finishing with 144,000.
There was almost a fairytale ending for Gunnar Rabe too, who was literally down to a chip and a chair only a couple of hours before the final table was set. The Swede managed to take the 1,000 chip and spun it up to 70,000, only to then have his pocket Tens outdrawn by Manfred Hammer’s QTs to fall prey of the ‘TV bubble’. Another notable performance came from 2007 WSOP bracelet winner and Main Event finalist Alex Kravchenko. The man is certainly on form and finished 17th here, stopped only when his AJ ran into Pascal Perrault’s AQ.
The remaining eight resume play today at 2pm BST, with €670,800 going to the winner. Personally, I’ve got my fingers crossed for Manfred to win, if only so I can use the headline: ‘Stop… Hammer Time!’ Simple things, eh?
