The first week of The Online Poker League’s summer season got off to a slow start, with only a handful of players at each game but, in an unusual twist, last season’s Hold’em champion bmw608 won the Omaha game, whilst last season’s Omaha champion smithsj1 won the Hold’em game.
The second week of The Online Poker League's summer season takes place this weekend with more Pot Limit Omaha and No Limit Texas Hold’em fixtures.
The Pot Limit Omaha game will take place on 8 July at 22:00 BST and will be hosted by Poker.com with buy in at just $2.20.
The No Limit Texas Hold’em game will take place on 9 July at 20:00 BST and will be hosted by the Prima Poker network. The buy in for this tournament is $5.50.
Prizes are awarded to the winner of each league and the overall winner will be the player who has had the best seven results from the 13 week season. The Online Poker League will also be sponsoring some freerolls and added prize money tournaments during the season as well as working with poker houses for a number of sponsored games.
