The Asian Poker Tour is becoming a staple of the poker year, proved by Chan’s attendance.
Johnny Chan, a ten-time WSOP bracelet-winner and one of the most famous names in all of poker, has confirmed that he will be making an appearance at the Macau leg of the Asian Poker Tour, a tournament series fast becoming as legendary as the Oriental Express himself.Again, the event will be held at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino, Macau, with a $4.3USD buy-in. Also confirmed in attendance are “The Poker Pack” who have over $24m in tournament winnings between them.Chan, who was born in China, is one of the biggest names in poker history. Aside from winning back-to-back World Series of Poker championships in 1987 and 1988, he is also tied with Doyle Brunson for second all-time total bracelets with ten. He currently has over eight million dollars in winnings from live tournaments alone.
The sixth annual edition of Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath tournament series may have begun last week but players are being advised that there is still time to qualify for seats into its prestigious £120 buy-in main event.
