The poker world paid tribute to the late Chad Brown over the weekend, and in the process raised plenty of cash for a very worthy cause.

Many of the poker world's top names including Robert Mizrachi, Dan Shack-Harris, Victor Ramdin, Greg Mueller, Shawn Buchanan and Jake Cody were on hand for the Chad Brown Memorial Event which was hosted at Binion's on Sunday.

The likes of Vanessa Rousso, Phil Hellmuth and Matt Savage all took to the mic to pay tribute to Brown, who died, aged just 52, from a rare form of cancer.

Todd Brunson spoke for many, saying, "In any industry, when somebody dies, everybody will say he was one of the nicest guys. Chad wasn't one of the nicest guys in poker. He was the nicest guy in poker."

Poker author Nolan Dalla added, "Is there anybody who has had a better 52 years or given more in 52 years than Chad Brown?" Dalla said. "Chad lived to a 100."

The tournament itself raised over $71,000 which was donated to the TJ Martell Foundation, a cancer research charity.
