The new season of Poker After Dark has changed its original format to include a couple of new angles to the regular six-max sit and go’s. This week the show will feature the four previous winners of NBC’s National Heads-Up Poker Championship battling it out for a $200k winner-takes-all prize.

The four champions have all stumped up $50,000 and will battle it out in two double elimination semi-finals before the winners shoot it out for the cash. The pairings will see 2005 Champion Phil Hellmuth take on the 2006 winner Ted Forrest, while the 2007 and 2008 champions – Wasicka and Ferguson respectively – are paired off in the other semi-final.

Yet another new format from Poker After Dark, and one which should see the popularity of the show continue to increase.
