Poker.com has delivered on its promise to save players affected by ChecknRaisePoker.com's alleged inability to send its tournament winners to the World Series of Poker(WSOP) this month.
An unfortunate situation apparently arose when Check n Raise were unable to meet their financial obligation to provide WSOP prize packages to ten of their players.
Most of the affected players have now been contacted, and their trips have been re-organised by Poker.com. The players’ original $11,000 packages, as won at Check n Raise, have even been upgraded to $12,500 to match those of the players who won seats through Poker.com.
One player, “Big Poppa,” spoke of his surprise at the gesture on one of the many poker forums that has been buzzing since news of the offer broke: 'Wow. I was one of the winners of a Main Event seat from Check n Raise, and you have no idea what this means to me.'
'We have had great feedback from those affected as well as poker devotees in general since our announcement,” said Poker.com director of gaming, Paul Cherry. “It's a good feeling to know we helped these players out and they will now be representing Poker.com at the WSOP.'
