Players Row At US Casino

Things can sometimes get a little heated at the poker table when there is big money at stake but it’s rare that anything verbal turns into a physical attack.

However, this was not the case at a casino in Florida earlier this week after a man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery following a dispute with a fellow poker player.

According to a report from the Sun Sentinel newspaper, Cemal Eglimez allegedly slapped a player Gulfstream Park Racing And Casino in Hallandale Beach near Miami after accusing the man of having ‘baby nuts’.

Eglimez was purportedly verbally abusing the player throughout a game before lashing out physically when the victim stood up to show the 45-year-old via a mobile phone app that he had $500,000 in his bank account.

The victim was left with a chipped tooth courtesy of Eglimez’ wristwatch while police were soon called and arrested the alleged attacker after viewing CCTV images of the incident.
