Player in 25bnth PokerStars hand runs bad

Just like in the US Civil War, it sucks to be ‘Confedrate’. In this case it’s the name of a player at a PokerStars Limit Omaha Hi/Lo $1/$2 table who uses that handle on the site. Sitting UTG, he was offered the option to post his blind out-of-turn or wait for it to come to him. Like any solid grinder, he chose the latter option. Oops.

Unfortunately for him the hand in question was the 25,000,000,000th hand dealt at PokerStars and carried with it a range of prizes. After a restart owing to a software glitch, the hand was dealt and the winners (tupapi777 and NeonFrost) split a $100,000 cash prize as well as gaining entry to the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event and an EPT seat. Every other player in the hand split $100,000 in cash.

What made it even more painful to watch, however, was Confedrate thinking up until the last minute that he was eligible. It ended with a pained conversation with support that reminded us at BLUFF that, no matter how bad you’re running, at least you’re not this guy. After talking for 30 minutes about how awesome the prizes were, he received this message:
HostJeff [Support]: Unfortunately, Confedrate, it looks like that's right. You were waiting to post your blind, and you didn't get dealt in. I'm very sorry.
