Harrah’s has just released a new iPhone and iPod Touch app that lets users play virtual WSOP poker over 25 events across seven venues.
The app, which costs $2.99 to download, also allows players to compete heads up if they have a Bluetooth connection or against multiple players over the Internet. Players have to build up their initial ‘bankroll’ of $100 by winning smaller casino events before moving on to bigger and better tournaments. Players going deep in the game can eventually win a virtual bracelet. “We are thrilled to take the WSOP to the iPhone with Glu Mobile,' said Craig Abrahams, Vice-President for the WSOP. “This application is a game-changer in the category and is consistent with our core strategy of taking the WSOP to all digital platforms with top production values.”
The sixth annual edition of Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath tournament series may have begun last week but players are being advised that there is still time to qualify for seats into its prestigious £120 buy-in main event.
