Phil Laak's endurance record under threat

Wednesday, 23 June 2010

Earlier this month we brought you news of Phil Laak's record breaking session where he played poker continuously for 115 hours. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so the Unabomber should feel honoured as a group in Austria's try and break his record.

The group of seven player, led by German actor, director and screenwriter Max Kruckl, are hoping to play for a whopping 150 hours straight. The challenge got under way early on Saturday morning and all things being well they'll still be playing come Friday.

The group’s goal is “to challenge and to cross the limits of what is humanly possible, not for money but for honour,” and to “bring the world record from Las Vegas to Tirol!"
