Peter Eastgate’s bracelet sells for $147,500

As much as we wanted to see Tony G’s dog in a blinging’ diamond-encrusted WSOP bracelet collar, we can’t be too disappointed in the final result of Peter Eastgate’s 2008 Main Event bracelet eBay auction. The Danish champion sold his bracelet for $147,500 after an intense bidding war.

Eastgate, who retired from poker at the age of 24 last year, sold the bracelet to raise money for the charity UNICEF, who are now six figures richer thanks to Eastgate’s generosity, Tony G’s publicity and an anonymous eBay user known only as “7***l” due to eBay’s privacy rules.

The winning bid came in 22 minutes before the close of the auction. According to poker knowledge cyborg and Bluff US staffer Kevin “kevmath” Mathers there was one higher bid but eBay could not contact the seller and the $147,500 bid stood.
