PartyPoker gives the phrase “playing with air” a whole new meaning

Danish players have the reputation for playing with reckless abandon. That description usually just describes their penchant for aggressive moves while holding fresh air not actually playing in the fresh air. But that is exactly what will happen in Poker In The Sky where 22-players will be dangling on a table at the end of a crane suspended 150 feet above the ground.

One player has already cried off from the event, which takes place in Copenhagen on Friday 11th September, after realising just how far up 150 feet is. The winner of the tournament will join the likes of Mike Sexton, Durrrr, Luke Schwartz and JC Tran at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair for October’s PartyPoker.com World Open V.

A spokesman for Party Poker said “Poker is a high octane game and we want to give the Danish poker players a special experience that will really boost their adrenaline levels. We have an expectation that it will be the most spectacular poker event Copenhagen has ever seen.”
