PartyPoker Glitch Being Investigated

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

A strange software glitch is being investigated by PartyPoker
following a number of player complaints over the last month.

According to multiple reports, a number of cash game tables have been experiencing a switching process during hands. Moreover, not only have hole cards been swapping between players at the table during hands, but screen names have as well.

While there has been no official confirmation of the technical fault, a video posted on PokerStrategy.com’s website has seemingly shown the error.
Essentially, problems have occurred because players have been seeing one set of cards during the hand only to find they aren’t actually their cards at the river.

The real hands have then been revealed once the majority of betting action has finished, prompting players to drastically reassess their hands
While the instances of this problem have been isolated, PartyPoker are now “aware of the issue” and have responded to a 2+2 thread by saying:

“Hi. We are aware of the issue and this has been escalated to the highest possible level within the business. To date we have had very few reports of the issue directly to our customer service team however we continue to investigate all possible avenues including the influence of third party software.”
