In a recent poll by WannaPlayPoker.net, registered offline players voted Party Poker their favourite online poker room, with Poker Stars and Full Tilt coming a close second and third respectively.
Of the players polled, 73.5% stated they play online poker in addition to playing in live games with friends.
WannaPlayPoker.net is a new service helping poker lovers find other players, home games and card rooms locally. The site currently covers 7 countries, including the US, UK and Canada, and has registered hundreds of players and home games in its first few days of operations.
“Online poker has certainly led the current poker explosion – but most players reach a point where they want to look their opponents in the eye.” says Richard Speigal, the site’s editor. “Think of us like the Classmates.com or FriendsReunited of poker. A simple, private (and free!) service to get players of like mind talking.”
The site was launched at the end of September and will be taking regular opinion from registered offline players.
