The PartyPoker Millions Cruise is set to sail once again, with the sixth edition of the tournament announced for 3rd-10th May 2008. Cruises don’t come cheap, although this is the exception to the rule – you could win a seat to the tournament and enjoy a trip around Europe’s waters for as little as $1.
The cruise will leave from Venice, Italy, and stops off in Greece, Turkey and Croatia before turning back to the city known as ‘Queen of the Adriatic’.
The tournament itself is an $8,200 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event which will also be recorded for worldwide broadcast. First prize is $1m, and previous winners read like a poker who’s who: Kathy Liebert, Howard Lederer, Erick Lindgren, Michael Gracz and Mike Schneider.
'The PartyPoker.com Million has a lot of history and it is great to welcome it back in 2008,' said a PartyPoker.com spokesman. 'Securing a package for the original poker cruise would be a great way to round off 2007.'
Qualifiers start from $1, and players would win packages worth up to $12,000 if they make it to the weekly $600+$40 satellite. Here one in every 20 players will be sent on the cruise, and Party Poker are guaranteeing at least three packages will be won.
