ParadisePoker.com says it is fully supporting its one hundred Internet qualifiers at the WSOP. Dubbed the Million Dollar Team due to the total value of their US$10,000 a head entry fees, each player qualified through the sites $25 satellite tournaments.
In honour of these million-dollar amateur card sharks, ParadisePoker.com sponsored a celebrity charity poker weekend at the Palms Casino Resort. A glittering array of celebrity players, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Tobey Maguire, were there to try their hands at the ParadisePoker.com Celebrity Challenge, which saw Survivor All-Stars champion, Amber Brkich, triumph. A donation in the amount of US$25,000 was made to Multiple Sclerosis charities, Amber's charitable cause.
