PaddyPowerPoker.com is appealing to the poker community in a quest to track down Hoa Mahn Nguyen, the last person knocked out of the World Series of Poker Main Event before the money.
Traditionally dubbed the “bubble boy,” the unlucky player who is the last to leave the WSOP Main Event without winning any money invests $10,000 but heartbreakingly leaves with no return on it. Accordingly, PaddyPowerPoker.com wants to offer Nguyen who is reportedly from Sunnyvale, California, a chance for major tournament success at their Irish Open 2007 competition.
If Nguyen can be found, he will enjoy an Irish Open 2007 prize package which includes a ticket into the main event as well as flights and accommodation.
The Irish Open event, which will be filmed for TV, is the biggest in Europe with a €2 million guaranteed prizepool and the capacity for 800 players paying €3,300 (+€200 registration) to play over Easter weekend 2007.
Last year, Dubliner Vincent Melinn won the €350,000 first prize in only his second ever live tournament.
