Paddy Power has today launched the “outright betting” market for the European Poker Tour’s fifth outing of the 2006/7 season in Casino Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Irish bookie is pricing up markets for each stop of the European Poker Tour which includes stopovers in Barcelona, London, Dublin, Baden and Monte Carlo. Two new events have been added to the tour: Dortmund on March 8 to 11 and Warsaw on March 14 to17 while Deauville in France has been dropped.
The Copenhagen EPT event, which is to be held in Casino Copenhagen from January 17 to 20 is already a sellout and will reportedly feature some of the biggest names in poker including Isabel Mercier, Katja Thater, Tom McEvoy and Luca Pagano.
The bookies favourite is currently Gus Hansen at 50-1, followed by Carlos Mortenson at 66-1.
Last year the event was won by Mads Andersen, a 35-year-old backgammon champion from Copenhagen, who took home €341,000.
