Sunday, 1 November 2009

Paddy Power Poker has released initial details of the 2010 Irish Poker Open. The longest running event in Europe will once again take place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin with buy in for the Main Event set at €3,200+€300.

The Irish bookie has also revealed that its “Sole Survivor” promotion will be making a welcome return next year. Germany’s Marcel Koch won a package worth €100,000 for being the Paddy Power qualifier who went deepest in this year’s tournament. Once again the www.paddypowerpoker.com qualifier who lasts the longest will win the €100,000 package.

"Our qualifiers to the Irish Open 2009 were really excited about participating in the very first €100k Sole Survivor promos and it was great to find such a worthy winner as Marcel", said Paddy Power, Communications Manager for paddypowerpoker.com. "We can't wait to kick off the search for the next Sole Survivor; there are 100,000 reasons why it makes sense for players to qualify for the Irish Open 2010 on paddypowerpoker.com and nowhere else!"

Qualifiers for the tournament are up and running at Paddy Power Poker.
