Paddy Power Poker player scoops $110,000 Fort Knox jackpot

Wednesday, 24 February 2010

Fort Knox is supposed to be unbreakable. The one in America that serves as home to America's gold supply may well be but the Fort Knox single table tournament jackpot on the iPoker network has been well and truly cracked.

The lucky player in question was Phil 'flukesfla' Flavin who won six consecutive $55 buy-in Jackpot Sit and Go tournaments while playing at PaddyPowerPoker.com. The Irishman started his record-breaking run on the morning of Friday 19th February and was celebrating his sixth consecutive victory and with it a $110,000 jackpot, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Flavin is a regular on the Irish poker circuit and will be performing in Paddy Power colours at the forthcoming Irish Open after qualifying through the site.

“I’m delighted to have awarded Phil with this massive sum,” said Paddy Power, Communications Manager for paddypowerpoker.com.  “Taking down six consecutive Sit’n’Go tournaments is no mean feat, especially when you play all six of them on the trot!  Hopefully we’ll have another few jackpot winners to congratulate in the next few months; the prizes are ready to be awarded!”

Well played sir!
