They're well known for hosting events across the Irish Sea and now Paddy Power Poker are bringing their unique brand of tournament to England.

Manchester's 235 Casino will be the venue for the maiden Madchester Poker Open. The £500+£50 buy-in event will take place from 21-23 November and feature a guaranteed prize pool of £100,000.

In association with drinks sponsor Carlsberg, the Madchester Poker tournament will offer a number of side events, including two feeders; a Texas No-Limit Hold’ Em Rebuy on Wednesday 19th November (with a guarantee of five seats to the main event), and a Texas No-Limit Hold’ Em Rebuy plus one add on taking place on Thursday 20th (with a guaranteed 5 seats to the main event).

For the more bankroll challenged out there, there's is a £20 buy-in side event on Friday 21st, a £150-buy-in side event on Saturday 22nd and finally a £35 buy-in closer on Sunday 23rd. Cash games will be ongoing throughout the five-day festival.

Patrick Thornton, Head of Paddy Power Poker, said: “We looked at a lot of venues in and around the region and Manchester235 stood out head and shoulders above its competitors as the ideal host for the Madchester Open. Paddy Power has a strong customer base in the North West and we felt the time was right to have an offline event in England. With a £500 buy-in, who’s mad enough to call our bluff?”

Satellites will run online at PaddyPowerPoker.com and live at Manchester235 on Thursday 30th October (1 seat guaranteed), Thursday 6th November (1 seat guaranteed), Wednesday 19th November (5 seats guaranteed), and Thursday 20th November (5 seats guaranteed), all with a £50 buy-in.
