Oregon Grinder's Amazing Triple

Oregon Grinder's Amazing Triple

Reporting results from local poker events in mid-sized casinos across America isn't usually something we do, but when a player manages to win three tournaments back-to-back-to-back, it's something worth talking about.

The Wild Horse Resort & Casino in Pendleton, Oregon, might not be a venue many people outside of the local area will be familiar with, but thanks to Angela Jordison its now firmly in the spotlight. After anteing up in the Pendleton Series, Jordison, a local grinder with more than a decade of poker experience, managed to win not one but three tournaments in a row.

The first tournament, a $300 No Limit Hold'em event, saw Jordison triumph over 537 players before weaving her way past 448 grinders in Event #2. With almost $30,000 in the bank, Jordison was keen to extend her unbeaten run and quickly registered for Event #3, a No Limit Hold'em shootout.

This time she managed to outlast 214 opponents to take home another stack of cash which took her overall total to $33,490. Although not a huge amount of money compared to some professional wins, the fact Jordison was able to emerge victorious in well-stocked MTTs with turbo structures proves she's a tough player to beat.

Although she wasn't able to continue the streak into Event #4, she was extremely pleased just to have secured what she described as a "once in a lifetime run".

"I wanted to thank everyone again for your support over the last few days. It has been an amazing experience and I don't take it for granted one bit. I love the game of poker and have made some amazing friends along the way. This is a once in a lifetime run to win 3 in a row and I'm just trying to enjoy it."
