Online poker traffic in decline over years

Online poker traffic in decline over years
Wednesday, 18 August 2010

According to research online poker traffic has declined by four per cent according to PokerScout. Various factors such as the economic slump and the UIGEA have been considered for explanation of what is a relatively minor dip.

Despite this overall trend, PokerStars has managed to increase traffic by four per cent in the same time period. The addition of televised games, UKIPTs, EPTs, IPTs... more tours than you can count in fact, must help advertising.

Full Tilt Poker dropped in traffic by eight per cent while Cake, Everest, iPoker, PartyPoker and CEREUS all showed losses too. However, it is worth remembering that legal online poker in the US is a more distinct possibility than ever before.
