Ofir Mor leads WPT Borgata final table

Thursday, 23 September 2010

Like JP Kelly, WPT Borgata champion Oliver Busquet will not be defending his title. He lead the field in Day 3 for quite some time, prompting talk of an amazing back-to-back WPT win, but wound up in fifth place out of the 27 remaining players who would return for Day 4.

He eventually busted in 25th place when his top pair ran into a set of fives – he couldn’t hit his miracle running cards and wound up cashing for over $15,000; paling in comparison to the near million dollar score this event granted him last year.

Dwyte Pilgrim, who has EPT and WSOP Circuit final tables under his belt, is perhaps the best-known name at the six-handed final table. He has just over twenty big blinds while chip leader Ofir Mor has a monster stack of over seven million in chips.

The following six players will return for the televised final table tonight, each guaranteed a six-figure payout with the winner taking home more than $733,000 for their efforts plus the honour of a World Poker Tour title and bracelet. Blinds are currently 100,000/200,000:

1. Kia Mohajeri - 4,225,000
2. Benjamin Klier - 6,125,000
3. Ofir Mor - 7,300,000
4. Brandon Novena - 5,125,000
5. Dwyte Pilgrim - 4,800,000
6. Daniel Makowsky - 3,300,000
