Europe’s most widely read poker publication, Bluff Europe, has announced that its October issue has gone on sale at newsstands across the UK featuring an exclusive interview with the winner of the World Series Of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event, Annette Obrestad.
Norwegian teenager Obrestad became a poker phenomenon after fighting off some of the world’s best poker players last month to become the first woman and youngest poker player ever to win a WSOP Main Event.
The 18-year-old beat 362 runners over the course of the six-day tournament to win two million dollars and a coveted WSOP Europe gold bracelet.
Best recognised by her online handle, ‘Annette_15’, the emotionally charged interview in Bluff Europe was conducted just after she had won the $20,000 buy-in tournament, and sees her speak about what it was like to emerge from the shadows at such a young age in the live arena.
“We’re proud to have this exclusive front cover with Annette,” said Michael Caselli, Editor-In-Chief for Bluff Europe. “At 18, she is certain to set the poker world alight in the years to come. We hope our readers enjoy our in-depth interview with her.”
As well as the exclusive with Obrestad, October’s issue features an in-depth review of the WSOP Europe plus a look at the first event at the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour calendar in Barcelona.
There is also an interview with the Brunson family after they travelled en mass to England for the WSOP festivities and the magazine runs down the ten greatest bluffs of all time. As usual, there are also the top news stories of the day along with reviews and features including regular columns from Jennifer Tilly and Phil Laak.
