Nosebleed cash action at Macau continues – Dwan wins $2.5m

Monday, 15 November 2010

We reported over the weekend that a huge HKD $5,000/$10,000 game was being played on the sidelines at APT Macau; tournament director extraordinaire Matt Savage has been updating the rail in this thread on Two Plus Two.

Savage said that the cash action was so good Tom Dwan has been coming down to the tournament to simply push all-in; be called and double up or bust whenever he is alerted to his stack being less than twenty big blinds. It has boded well for Tom – rumours from the rail indicate that he, alongside John Juanda, is the biggest winner.

The Chinese businessmen have been playing with Juanda, Ivey and durrrr for several days with over $75,000,000 HKD (approx $9m USD or £5m) on the table. Dwan supposedly won a three-way pre-flop all-in with QQ v TT and AK for $20,000,000 HKD ($2.5m USD) and has cashed out over $40,000,000 HKD from the casino.
