Norman conquers GUKPT Dundee

Norman conquers GUKPT Dundee
Wednesday, 28 July 2010

Yesterday we brought you news that Luke Fields had won the latest leg of the GUKPT Summer Series in Sheffield. It was wasn't just Yorkshire that was hosting a Summer Series event though, with Norman Levitt taking the honours in Dundee.

Levitt outlasted a field of 41 runners in the £300 Main Event to pocket a first prize of £4,310. It was a case of what might have been for Alisdair Macrae who finished runner up in both the Main Event and the £100 Bounty Freezeout side event that was won by Paul Watson. The Summer Series proved elementary for Watson who had double reason to cheer after winning the £200 NLHE Freezeout for a score of £2,000 as well as £950 for the Bounty tournament. Rounding up the winners' enclosure was Calum Menzies who outlasted a field of 50 players to take the £150 NLHE freezeout. All the tournament winners also won seats into the end of season Champion of Champions event.

The next action on the Grosvenor Tour takes place at London's Victoria Casino and the G Casino in Manchester late next month. The eight-day festival at the Vic starts on 23rd August and culminates in a £750 Main Event starting on 29th August. The Manchester event is slightly smaller, running for five days, with a £500 Main Event, also starting on 29th August.

Qualifiers for GUKPT events are running at Gcasino.com and Blue Square Poker.
