Nine World Series of Poker competitors, who got to the Las Vegas tournament by playing poker on software created by leading software developer CryptoLogic, have finished at the prestigious tournament in the top 10 per cent, taking home a combined $850,000.
One CryptoLogic player, John McGrane, who qualified for the event on a $40 online tournament through williampoker.com finished eighteenth overall out of over 5,600 competitors, winning a grand total of $350, 000, by playing 78 hours of poker in six days.
Vice President of CryptoLogic, Andy Goetsch, a keen poker player himself, says CryptoLogic’s remarkable run at the WSOP is thanks to a combination of great players and software dedicated to the needs of poker players.
“The World Series of Poker is poker at its finest. It’s about the cards, but it’s also about a player’s skill — and to see so many users of CryptoLogic software finish in the money is a tribute to the Internet poker experience we deliver.”
