Boylepoker.com has strengthened its professional roster by adding Irishman Nicky Power to its team. Since starting playing poker in 2004 the urbane Irishman has had some fine results including a victory in the Macau Winter Festival and a sixth place finish in the Irish Open.

Power is probably best known for a single hand played against Roland de Wolfe though. After Power went all in over a de Wolfe raise, the dealer accidentally mucked his cards. Luckily, he spotted the dealer’s mistake and showing some very quick wits, covered the area where his cards should have been with his hands. Roland eventually folded and Power picked up a hefty pot.

Commenting on the deal, Power said, "It's an honour to be signed to such a strong and successful team as Boylepoker. The site is well known as one of the best value and fun places to play online and I hope I can do them proud wearing the 'lucky logo'."

Paul Spillane, head of poker at the site added, "Nicky is a great asset to have. He's a formidable poker player, a great ambassador for the game, and a fun-loving, popular guy to boot so we expect he'll have a great impact as the latest Boylepoker pro and welcome him into the family."

Boylepoker will be celebrating the new signing by hosting a $10 buy in, $1,000 added bounty tournament on Wednesday 16th December at 8 p.m. UK time with $250 on Nicky Power's head and $25 on the heads of three other bounties.
