The Poker Financial Network has launched a whole new way of betting on poker with the launch of its Wildstakes.com site. The company, which has representatives in New York, Los Angeles and London, has come up with an ingenious system of backing individual players. Poker players are often backed by a third party, but usually they are known to the player.
Eight well known professional poker players can be funded for tournament entry fees by anyone in the world. If the players win, then the backer will receive a payout as well.
Currently the players are:
Syracuse Chris, David Plastik, Chip Jett, Cyndy Violette, Shane Schleger, Karina Jett, Crispin Leyser and Erin Ness.
The Wildstakes.com system is also open to players looking for backing. After registering with Wildstakes.com, they will then be evaluated for investor potential.
Backers will be notified whenever a player registers for a tournament and for those that cannot go and see the games, televised tournaments are planned.
Investments can start from as little as $3 and there is no maximum amount. Unused money will follow through to the next player cycle. A cut of 2% will be deducted from the player’s winnings, but not the backer’s winnings, though there is a 5% service fee.
Pickspal will administer the player investments.
