Negreanu’s post-WSOP rant

Monday, 22 July 2013

Daniel Negreanu has just released a new video where he discusses a number of topics including his time at this year’s World Series Of Poker (WSOP).

Coming in at just under 20 minutes, the Canadian pro uses the video to express his satisfaction at his most recent WSOP performance although admitting that his results could have been better after he learned a valuable lesson regarding sleep deprivation.

He goes on to talk about tournament rankings and his placing in the WSOP Player Of The Year standings before discussing the recent Tournament Directors Association (TDA) rule changes.

Beyond covering his own experiences, the Toronto resident also picks up on one of the poker world’s hottest topics right now; recreational players. Referencing Neil Channing’s recent blog post in which he described how some of the younger generation of pros are alienating recreational players with their table talk, Negreanu agrees and calls on those guilty of mocking the less skilled to stop. He asks players to remember that games would be even harder to win if all the ‘fish’ were to leave.
