Negreanu makes movie appearance and announces charity golf tournament

If you’ve been to see the new Marvel film adaptation Wolverine Origin and thought that you spotted a familiar face then you probably did as playing poker alongside Wolverine (aka Hugh Jackman) was none other than Daniel Negreanu.

This isn’t Negreanu’s first appearance on the silver screen. He appeared in 2007 film Lucky You alongside Barry Greenstein, Doyle Brunson and Sammy Farha.


Negreanu has also announced a new charity golf event. “Big Swing” will take place in Las Vegas on 25 June (during the World Series Of Poker) with thirty amateur teams competing with the assistance of a professional poker player. All money raised will go to the Lili Claire Foundation.


"I love golf, I love poker and I love the Lili Claire Foundation. This event is a true passion of mine and I personally guarantee that everyone who participates will have a great time at a first-class event," said Negreanu. "One-Hundred Percent of the money we raise will go to the charity, everyone is really stepping up. We have so many ideas to make the event fun and raise money for a great children's charity located here in Las Vegas."
