PartyPoker has revealed that the latest additions to the Premier League Poker IV line up will be Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Rousso.
Negreanu, who has career earnings of over $12m, was clearly excited about locking horns with the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Tony G and young pretender Luke Schwartz saying, 'I am a bit of a stats geek and a big fan of unique tournaments with point systems. Playing in this event requires a different type of strategy and I thoroughly enjoy trying to figure out what the best approach is, then implementing it, and hoping it works!' Organisers were equally thrilled to get add former EPT High Roller Grand Final winner and one time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Vennassa Rousso into the line up. Eddie Hearn from Matchroom Poker said, “There was only one target when selecting a female player for the league. Vanessa has become a huge force in poker and her win at the EPT High Rollers event coupled with her runners-up finish at the NBC Heads-Up Championship as well as a string of WSOP cashes has made her, in my opinion, the world’s number one female player right now”. The pair join Hellmuth, Schwartz and Tony G as well as triple-crown winner Roland de Wolfe, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and defending champion JC Tran. The action gets under way in Las Vegas in the middle of February.
