Negreanu and Lindgren in stand up comedy showdown?

Negreanu and Lindgren in stand up comedy showdown?

Monday, 19 October 2009

Daniel Negreanu has often said that he is a comedian in a poker player’s body and he may now get the chance to prove if after a challenge thrown down by Erick ‘E-Dog’ Lindgren.

Writing on his website, the recent WSOPE runner up revealed that Lindgren had challenged him to a stand up comedy prop bet. The winning comic would take $100,000 with some of the money donated to charity.

Kid Poker, who is well known for impersonating other players on the live poker circuit, is confident in his own abilities, deciding to develop his own material rather then getting writers in. Negreanu said “To make it fair, I told him he can hire Brad Garrett or whoever he wants to help him out, but that I'd prefer just doing it with no help from writers at all and I'd lay him a price”.

It’s certainly one stand up performance we’d like to see.
