National Poker League Goes Live in May

The National Poker League’s (NPL) 2007 Global Circuit Tour is gearing up to kick off with the Paris Open in France on 13 May at the Cercle Gaillon casino located near the famous Arc de Triomphe.

The National Poker League’s (NPL) 2007 Global Circuit Tour is gearing up to kick off with the Paris Open in France on 13 May at the Cercle Gaillon casino located near the famous Arc de Triomphe.
The inaugural poker tourney for 2007 is to feature several €4,000 plus €200 buy-in events between 13 and 20 May, culminating in a final televised table on 22 May. Aside from France’s best, NPL should attract a good mix of British, American, Spanish, Moroccan, Asian and Eastern European players.
Expected to reach Europe’s highest attendance and prize pool, the tournament series will feature €100,000 in added prize money, which the organisers have billed as a first for an event of this kind.
Taking place in the heart of the City of Lights, the event will offer players a unique tournament experience that includes first class French dinners at the Queenie Club. On May 21,the Queenie club will host a charity party which will reportedly be sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Dior, Moet & Chandon and Cartier.
NPL has established a pre-registration and payment method on the NPL website or directly via the Cercle Gaillon site. With limited seating available, the event organisers are encouraging players to sign-up early.
Satellite events are being held on a weekly basis via NPL’s casino partners, which include the Cercle Gaillon and Aviation Club in France and the Loose Cannon in London.
