The voice behind Bart Simpson is to host another charity poker tournament on 15th December, this time in aid of Happy House.
The organisation, which was founded by Cartwright and Rose Goss, an author and documentary producer, helps bring safer communities through better families.
Cartwright hopes the money raised from her home game will help distribute one million ‘The Way to Happiness’ booklets around the San Fernando Valley area in which she lives.
The booklet contains 21 chapters to provide common-sense advice on a happy home life, according to the Happy House website.
'It's the kind of thing that many people could sit down and read pretty quickly, and these little reminders such as to take care of yourself, the environment, your family and parents, to try to live with the truth and to do good work and basically to treat others as you would have them treat you, these little reminders are things we need.'
The event will take place on the 15th December, and will include a poker tournament and barbeque. The buy in for the tournament is $75, although people are being encouraged to just go for the food and watch the fun for $25 a ticket. Child tickets will be sold at $5, and the proceeds will go directly to the Happy House charity.
