Nadal loses last longer

Nadal loses last longer

Tuesday, 26 February 2013

Tennis champ and PokerStars ambassador Rafa Nadal seems to be immersing himself into the poker world’s degenerate ways at the moment following a Sunday of prop bets.

Having mastered the language and art of three-betting, the tennis star is now accepting last longer bets from his friends in order to prove his skills.

After some back-and-forth banter across Twitter, Rafa accepted Joan Suasi’s challenge to see who could last longer in the PokerStars Sunday Storm.

If the contest had been on the tennis court then there’s no doubt who the winner would be, but when variance can ruin even the greatest player’s chances of success, Rafa was in for tough test.

Indeed, despite making it past more than 20,000 players, the Spaniard couldn’t make it close enough to the $35,172 top prize to beat Suasi.
Indeed, while Rafa went out to have dinner his friend managed to make it into the money before crashing out short of the final table.
