Mr Raymer Goes to Washington – PPA to Present Petition.

The Poker Players’ Alliance (PPA) is going to Washington this week in a bid to finally legalise online poker. As part of their “National Poker Week,” members have arranged over 100 meetings with members of Congress.

The PPA will be lead by noted poker pros Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, Andy Bloch and Greg Raymer, the latter of whom was a successful lawyer prior to winning the 2004 WSOP.


They are supported by the signatures of over 350,000 poker players, to be presented in a petition to Barack Obama. However, this petition is no guarantee that poker will be legal as in the past the US Government has been reluctant to legalize it as they consider online poker a dangerous activity.
