Moon Kim is the latest player to join the World Poker Tour winner’s circle after taking down the Bay 101 Shooting Star event in San Jose, California overnight.

Kim earned himself a $960,000 pay day, including a seat in the $25,000 end of season WPT Championship, after outlasting a field of 364 runners. Kim, a California poker regular, started day four as one of the medium sized stacks but worked his way through a final table that included Louis Spence lookalike Erik Cajelais and Joe Serock to set up a heads up battle with Ubaid Habib.

Habib was the aggressor for most of the two-handed action but could only watch in despair when Kim rivered a flush and the title to beat his top pair. Habib pocketed $570,200 for his efforts.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1 Moon Kim $960,900
2 Ubaid Habib $570,200
3 Joe Serock $320,400
4 Erik Cajelais $256,300
5 Andrew Badecker $192,300
6 Joseph Elpayaa $128,200
