It's already been an excellent week for Sorel Mizzi. The Canadian pocketed over $354,000 after a big online win during the SCOOP series. He could be in line for more riches, this time at WPT Amsterdam.

Mizzi (1,007,000) will return to the tables third in the chip counts with just 16 of the 341 starters still in contention. Fredrik Andersson leads the way on 1,412,000 followed by Joep van den Bijgaart on 1,029,000).

One player running super hot at the moment is Jason Wheeler. The American pocketed €125,000 earlier this week after beating Britain's Jack Salter to the WPT Amsterdam High Roller title. He returns to the Main Event in eighth on 584,000. Jack's brother Louis is also very much in contention and will start the penultimate day in fifth with 880,000.

Another Brition hoping for the WPT glory will be Steve Warburton who closed day 3 with a stack of 500,000. Other notables remaining include former WPT winner Giacomo Fundaro (849,000) and WSOP-APAC Main Event champion Scott Davies (211,000).

The action resumes at 2pm local time (1pm UK) where they'll play down to a final table of six.
