Mizrachi’s South Africa Win

He might have been one of the specially invited celebrity players, but that didn’t stop Michael Mizrachi walking away with this year’s WSOP Circuit in South Africa title.

Taking place in Gauteng’s Emerald Casino, the $3,300 Main Event attracted a healthy field of 116 players across two stating days.

After the organisers had divided up the $337,560 prize pool a total of 12 places were set to earn a return on their investment, with the winner earning $101,267.

With six-figures on offer for the champion, the action at the final table was tense as a host of local talent, including Jarrod Solomon, did their best to prevent the lone American, Mizrachi, from taking the title.

However, despite their best efforts the final players fell one by one as Mizrachi put in a commanding performance to bank the top prize and take his career winnings to $14,426,188.

1st - Michael Mizrachi $101,267
2nd - Karl Myburgh $62,590
3rd - Markus Feurie $44,565
4th - Jarred Solomon $32,372
5th - Kinesh Pather $23,980
6th - Kenneth Morgan $18,103
7th - Menesh Keshav $13,924
8th - Eric Brand $10,907
9th - Warren Zackey $8,696
