The London-based specialist producer of sports, gaming and entertainment programming, Emblaze Productions, has announced a three-year deal with online poker room FullTiltPoker.com to produce seasons two through four of Europe’s Million Dollar Cash Game television series.
The format of the show sees several of the world's top poker professionals competing against each other in no-holds-barred high stakes cash games with a minimum buy-in of $100,000 and no maximum.
Last year's inaugural run of the show saw Phil Ivey walk away as champion after hundreds of thousands of dollars had changed hands. Ivey is slated to return for the second instalment of the series, which is to be filmed September 18 and 19 at an exclusive venue in Soho, London, with Sky Sports scheduled to launch the broadcast in January of next year.
'We are delighted that Full Tilt Poker have continued to sponsor this unique high stakes cash game,” said James Hopkins, Founder and Managing Director of Emblaze Productions.
“With hundreds of thousands of dollars being staked over two days of filming, viewers will be in for a thrilling second series when the shows broadcast on Sky Sports early next year.”
Emblaze said the line-up for the second series could include names such as Allen Cunningham, Tony G, Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson, John Juanda, Erik Seidel, Patrik Antonius, Marc Goodwin and Howard ‘The Professor’ Lederer with the blind structure for the games starting at $300 to $600 with a $100 ante.
