Alex 'Kanu7' Millar might have made his name in the online world but since joining Team PokerStars Online he has become more of a familiar faces on the European circuit.
Thanks to a bulging bankroll and an unassuming personality, the British pro has become a favourite with the railbirds and it now seems he's looking to win the affections of the general public with a recent article in The Telegraph, which is regarded as one of the UK's most respected news publications. The piece by Millar might be a break from The Telegraph's traditional content but it's certainly another positive step for the poker industry. The article's author, Oliver Pickup, picks over some of Millar's strategies while noting that the poker industry is now worth $800 billion globally and is an ‘area of rapid growth’.Although Millar's strategy advice was relatively basic - be sensible with your money, think about ranges and be consistent with your bets - the national exposure will certainly help clarify poker's position as a game of skill in the mind of the general public.
