Michael Mizrachi sued for breach of contract

Friday, 10 September 2010

Michael Mizrachi has truly had a roller coaster of a year in the poker media. First he was the Grinder who had ground himself broke, owing over $350,000 to the taxman. This was later cleared up; Mizrachi had some failed property investments and a bad accountant.

Then came the 2010 World Series of Poker and Mizrachi immediately established his presence by taking down the $50,000 Players’ Championship for seven figures. A series of deep runs and cashes later and he was vying for the Player of the Year award while building a stack in the Main Event. Now he’s one of the November Nine and could win $9,000,000.
Now he’s being sued. Sick swings in his life. According to Deliverance Poker he signed and agreement for sponsorship entitling him to $150,000, 1.75% of the site and tournament expenses. He was seen wearing Deliverance Poker patches at the WSOP but soon after his huge scores he switched to Tiltware. Deliverance is accusing him of a breach of contract. Neither Mizrachi nor Tiltware have commented on the lawsuit that was presented at a Federal courthouse in Texas.
