Melanie Weisner latest Full Tilt Poker red pro

Friday, 8 April 2011

American poker pro Melanie Weisner probably thought she was having a good April as of last weekend when she finished third in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for a little over $50,000; the biggest online cash of her career. Well, her April has just gotten better with a $35 per hour and 100% rakeback deal at Full Tilt Poker.

Yes, Ms. Weisner is the latest player to be added to Full Tilt’s burgeoning roster of red pros sponsored by the site. She was added recently just in time to host the FTOPS event in her specialist poker variant, heads-up tournament play. Weisner began playing after her brother had success online and decided to become an MTT player after winning a $3 tournament.

She soon found an affinity for heads-up play and has over $1.7m in cashes online from both tournaments and heads-up Sit ‘n’ Goes. In the live arena she has two Ladies’ events under her belt as well as a few WSOP cashes.

With the might of Full Tilt’s bankroll behind her though, we could see another female WSOP bracelet-winner sooner than we expected. All we can say is that Liv Boeree has some competition – even in the aesthetics department.

Join Melanie at the tables by signing up for an account at Full Tilt Poker.
