McLean Karr wins World Poker Tour Vienna High Roller

McLean Karr wins World Poker Tour Vienna High Roller

Thursday, 31 March 2011

The High Roller event at the WPT Vienna, despite or perhaps because of the €10,000 buy-in, attracted a star-studded field of 50 players. This included James Akenhead, Michael Tureniec and Andrew Feldman but it was McLean Karr who topped the field.

Karr, who has an EPT London High Roller win under his belt from last year, was heads-up with German pro Tobias Reinkemeier after the rest of the field had busted. Despite the deep structure of the event the tournament was decided on a coinflip; Karr’s A-K managed to outrun Reinkemeier’s 6-6 all-in pre-flop.

The full final table payouts were as follows:
1.McLean Karr €185,120
2.Tobias Reinkemeier €104,560
3.Nicolo Calia €57,040
4.Govert Metaal €39,020
5.Kristijonas Andrulis €29,520
6.Ronnie Kaiser €24,760
7.Ramin Henke €20,020
8.Pavil Binar €15,260
