Matas Cimbolas Heads WPT Finale

Just six players are still in the hunt for the WPT Nottingham title with Matas Cimbolas leading the charge for the £200,000 first prize.

The Lithuanian will return with 3,534,000 thanks in part to winning a big pot just before Saturday's close. Cimbolas was on the right side of a flip with AQ against Luca Moschitta, turning a queen then rivering an ace to send the Italian to the rail as the final table bubble boy.

Ben Warrington is Cimbolas' closest rival. The former Cardiff University student will return with 2,616,000 followed by 30-year-old semi-pro Tamer Kamel (1,844,000).

2009 World Series of Poker third place finisher Antoine Saout returns in fourth on 1,086,000 with Patrick Leonard (836,000) and Phillip Mighall (710,000, rounding out a high class final table.

The action resumes at 2pm on Sunday.
