Masters Poker League final this weekend

Thursday, 18 June 2009

Dudley’s Castle Casino is the venue for the second Masters Poker League Grand Final on Saturday 20th June. One lucky player will walk away with a trip to Las Vegas worth £6,000 or a cash prize of £5,000.

The winner takes all tournament is the culmination of the midlands based Masters Poker League season. Players compete in pubs and social clubs in four 11 to 13 week seasons, accumulating points depending on their performance. The top players from each venue are invited to a live quarterfinal where cash prizes and GUKPT seats are up for grabs. The top ten winners in each quarterfinal then go through to the Grand Final where the big prize is on offer.

The MPL is now in association with Bluff Europe and has recently launched an online tour at www.masterspokertour.co.uk

It features a similar format to their live calendar, culminating in a Grand Final next July with a $10,000 prize pool guaranteed.

It’s still possible to qualify for Saturday’s Live Grand Final in Dudley by playing in the $5.50 rebuy event on the Masters Poker Tour site tonight at 7pm. There will also be a £5 tournament on Saturday for those who fancy a game but haven’t qualified for the Grand Final.

The Masters Poker League takes place in 21 venues throughout the midlands. To find the nearest one to you visit www.masterspokerleague.co.uk
