Marigliano heads Partouche Day 1A chip counts

The big names were out in force in Cannes yesterday for the opening flight of the €8,500 Partouche Poker Tour Open. Michael Mizrachi (144,800), 2010 champion Vanessa Selbst (102,400) World Champions Jonathan Duhamel (76,800) Pius Heinz (75,600) all enjoyed a good opening flight and ended the day with above average stacks.

A total of 326 players bought in with the man to beat at the close of Day 1A Italian Marcelo Marigliano who bagged up an impressive 187,300.


Other notables amongst the 155 opening flight survivors were Leo Margets (94,300), Justin Bonomo (77,700), Dominick Nitsche (71,800) and online legend Jens Kyllonen (34,000).


Plenty more big names are expected for today's second opening flight including Phil Ivey, Liv Boeree, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius and defending champ Sam Trickett. Join us tomorrow for updates.
