Marek Viscak wins Paradise Poker Tour Bulgaria

Tuesday, 20 July 2010

200 players gathered in Sunny Beach in Bulgaria for the final leg of the Paradise Poker Tour and in the end it was Marek Viscak who emerged victorious.

The Czech player had already had a taste of the final table earlier on the tour, losing heads up to Georges Tohme in the opening event in London in December. He made no mistake this time though beating the gloriously named Dane, Aske Muff (yes, it really is his name).

The chips went in with Viscak holding 8d7d and Muff Q10 on a QdJd4c board. The 6h one the turn provided Viscak with even more outs and a 5c on the river gave him an unlikely straight and with it the title.

"I feel great to have won after coming second in London," said the new champ.
"The last 15 players in this tournament were a lot tougher than those in London and it was important for me to finish in the top three places and be second in the Tour League. This was one of the three best cashes I've had since I started playing poker, so I'm really pleased with the result."
